Objectives: To show residents' perception about the implementation of social responsibility actions from companies operating in La Oroya, Concepción and Huancayo cities in Junin region; to set people's expectations and demands, and to assess factors related with social conflicts which are a complaint. Methods: The research was basic, descriptive level and cross-sectional design. We review specialized literature, with a mixed work field, through the use of questionnaires, interviews and focus groups with residents, decision-makers and specialists. Results: Communities stated that companies have never shown support interest, considering that its work on social responsibility is insufficient (63.3 %), since they only produce with the purpose of making a profit; they should back up their education orders (68.4 %) felt that investment was insufficient; health (68.9 %) was considered insufficient; and contract residents' labor (62.6 %) was insufficient too. Conclusions: Given the dissatisfaction levels in education and employability, mainly, the disagreement in this population turn into social conflicts, so that public and private institutions have the moral and strategic imperative to generate models which respond to cultural diversity and inequality. Looking for a social responsibility model, generated from the population demands and expectations from the areas where different companies operate, must be taken into account how to generate high levels of satisfaction in the population with which they interact.
